Dear Enfield residents,

As we reopen our town centres, we are asking our residents to reimagine our namesake – the Enfield!

The Enfield is one of the strangest creatures in heraldry; the head of a fox, legs of an eagle, chest of a greyhound, body of a lion and the hindquarters and tail of a wolf. The beast can be seen all over the borough, including the coat of arms for the London borough of Enfield.

The Enfield BeastEnfield Council will be celebrating its town centres between 14 August and 31August for Enjoy Enfield Summer, and we want our residents to join in by drawing their own versions of the Enfield beast!

The competition is open to anyone and everyone. Create a new version of the beast which represents what Enfield means to you, our residents. You can colour in the outline of the Enfield in the template provided HERE or feel free to reimagine the beast with your own outline.

Your final designs can be handed into the Dugdale Centre in Enfield Town at the below address Monday to Saturday, between 9am and 5pm. Designs must be marked with your name, contact details and whether you are under 11 [please provide contact details of parent or guardian], 11 - 18 or adult! The deadline for final designs will be 10th August2020.

The winning designs will be printed as posters and distributed around the borough in local shops and houses for all of Enfield to see!

Designs can be sent to:

Enfield Beast Competition,

Dugdale Centre,

39 London Road,

We look forward to seeing your designs and good luck!
